The Author
Dr. med. Wolfgang Weihe
The author is a neurologist who has been an MS specialist for more than 25 years. In the nineteen eighties he discovered the “black holes”, a rare form of MS lesions which indicate a more unfavourable prognosis. Following this, he committed himself particularly to prognosis research and came to the surprising conclusion that more than two thirds of cases will lead neither to wheelchair dependency nor to a visible disability. He is not basically against disease-modifying drugs, but has a more reserved attitude towards them and is known as a supporter of a “gentle” approach, which takes into account the confusing interaction between body and soul.
